Working as a father and son team (Alpha Paving/MW Paving) completed a paving job in my back garden with Indian stone in September. Following rain, problems occurred with drainage, these problems have been ongoing. Contacted both father and son to explain the problem but both failed to come back to sort out, despite being paid in full as soon as the job was completed. Really disappointed.

I know that sometimes you can feel it’s a bit of a gamble when you hire a new firm to do a big job. After reading favourable reviews I hired Michael and his team to replace a broken path at my mother’s bungalow to make it wheelchair friendly. Michael was extremely knowledgeable, listening to what we wanted and giving advice. We agreed on block paving that would complement the brickwork on the bungalow. It soon became very apparent that I could totally trust them as they did exactly what they said they would do. From beginning to end, including digging up the old thickly concreted path, the job took a couple of days! They also replaced the front step to match the path, suitable for us to use a fold up wheelchair ramp. They were very tidy workers and all rubbish (including some that they offered to take from the garden) was removed. They are quite a find – punctual, professional, very hard working, great communicators and genuinely lovely people. Their pricing is very competitive. We were so impressed with the path that we went ahead with getting the driveway restored to match. It was overgrown and hadn’t been used for years. This job also took two days from start to finish, has transformed the front of the property and made it fully wheelchair accessible. I have to say that I was genuinely amazed at how quickly they worked – I have never seen anything like it. To help, they also laid some decorative stones on the garden for me, something which, from previous experience, would have taken me a lot longer! A fantastic job, I can’t recommend them enough. Also, on seeing their work, the lady in the bungalow next door had her driveway and front paved (again in the space of two days) so now the two bungalows are matching which looks amazing. There was other interest in the road so hopefully they will get some more work from the neighbours soon.
